There is a ride going up on Friday and I plan to leave Lilydale at 10.00AM.
I plan a relatively simple ride up to Yea but will avoid some of the Melba along the way and plan just a very short rest / assembly break at Yea circa 11.00AM
If you intend to meet us at Yea - Please let me know - 0419 599 530
Then I plan to ride off into the "hills" via Highlands and have a decent break at Euroa for lunch / fuel etc.
I then plan a brief highway stint to Benalla and then ride north via backroads past some silos / art and then east through some national park / Warby Ranges before arriving in Wangaratta mid afternoon. Regular brief photo / rest breaks are planned between Benalla and Wangaratta.
Then down to some camaraderie and exchanging disgraceful lies at the Friday night BBQ.
The Victoria Breakfast Club gathering is in Wangaratta on Saturday morning to coincide with our Odyssey and there will be ride choices after the VBC gathering finishes
For the Friday ride to the Odyssey I'm planning on leaving Lilydale at 10.00AM followed by a brief stop in Yea (near bowls club) circa 11.00AM to meet any coming form the north or west.
Then a ride north through Highlands to Euroa for a fuel / meal break.
Then a bit of highway to Benalla before heading north to check out some art etc before coming into Wangaratta via the Warby Ranges
If you intend to meet me at Yea please let me know so we don't leave without you.
Some things to consider around Wangaratta during the Odyssey
To the west there are the Warby Ranges and a bit of a silo art tour around Lake Rowan, St James, Devenish and Goorambat – check out the art in the church there too. Winton wetlands and Lake Mokoan art worth a check on way back too along with Baileys Winery.
To the east the Eldorado dredge can be visited on a loop via Yackandandah, Beechworth, Everton (olives) , Milawa (cheese and wine) and more.
Lots of interesting stuff around Wangaratta too - buildings, bridges, cafés and more
Greg, we are working on a Saturday ride which will probably include Eldorado & Woolshed Road on the way to Beechworth. Then the hills around Stanley on the way to Myrtleford with time to stop and look along the way. Does going past / visiting EV Olives and Milawa Cheese on run back to Wangaratta sound OK?
Friday Ride Arrangements
Yes, the Odyssey on next weekend 😀

Hi, who is leading the adventure ride on the Friday to Wangaratta? Any details?
I will lead a ride on Saturday, out and about to Mt Beauty and back, approximately 10am-3pm. Details can be finessed on the day.
