Three of us, Jack, Nick and I, went for Sunday's ride. Conditions were much better than forecast. Officer to Korumburra for morning tea were fine with only some damp roads. Even the temperature wasn't bad staying above single figures. The section to Warragul was the only wet part with light drizzle, wet roads and also what must have been a small diesel spill. The three of us each had our bikes twitch as we crossed it. Fortunately the road was straight. I changed the lunch destination from Drouin to Yarra Junction to make the ride after lunch closer to home. Through the State Forest we had an excellent run, with no other traffic. After lunch we made it home just after 2.00pm. Yes, we have bikes to clean but a good day for winter. Sometimes it's best to ignore the forecast and just poke your head out of the front door.
