We had a fabulous turn out for Pat's ride to Yarra Glen from Officer today.
It was the last Sunday before Christmas and the forecast was good.
Several people brought their new bikes along.
The colour on Colin's new bike is even nicer than the photo indicates
Tez looking very happy with his new Bimmer
Once greetings and briefings
were done and detours around roadworks completed, we rode
Samuel on his new GS1300
Brian
Peter on his Guzzi
into the delightful hills around Beaconsfield Upper and on through the Dandenong Ranges to Woori Yallock for a cuppa/rest break.
Rod from Gippsland looking happy with having joined the ride
Just some of the bikes on today's ride
After a good long chat, we rode north.
We passed through Healesville and Pat thought Toolangi was so good, we rode through it twice so we could enjoy Myers Creek Road and then Chum Creek Road twice.
After that the traffic on the Melba Hwy was heavy but went along at a good clip before arriving at Yarra Glen.

The bakery was busy, however they had three people taking orders, they were both friendly and efficient so it was a very enjoyable lunchbreak and most of us found shade to sit in and talk more. I think we saw about 4 marked highway patrol cars and also a couple of police solos travelling together. Happily, the only exchange was a friendly chat at the bakery with a solo rider.
Pat - Thanks for putting the ride on, Bill,
thanks for doing TEC duty again
and thanks to everyone who came along.
I enjoyed another great day riding with fellow Ulysseans
Cheers
