I'll start with a photo of The Old Pitfield Bridge and there are no prizes for guessing why none of us rode over it once Pat had led us there

Apart from very strong winds, we had great weather today and about 20 people (OK, I failed to count) turned up to enjoy Pat’s ride.
Quite a few turned up early, so we had a longer time for a chat and greetings than usual.

Apart from many of the regular riders, Andrew from Westgate Wanderers joined us on his Indian.

Anthony who rode (White V Strom) with us a few weeks ago, must have enjoyed it as he has now joined the Club and come back for more. Barry on his older Triumph joined us again plus Graeme and some people whose names I’ll probably omit – Sorry.
Once ready, Brian took on TEC duty and Pat led us out

and onto roads which I’m really not familiar with and I thoroughly enjoyed exploring areas I’ve never visited. I will admit I was perplexed by some low speed limits shortly after we left along straight rural roads with great visibility.
We then enjoyed some great roads and views past places such as Anakie and Steiglitz before taking a short scenic / rest break at Bunjil’s Lookout

and then some more great gorges past Bannockburn before a cuppa break at Lethbridge

which also had a wonderful old bluestone station building.

We then battled some headwinds and rode on to Pitfield where we stopped and checked out the bridge which is a Warren truss type bridge.

Then was back to Teesdale for lunch, a rest break and more camaraderie and banter.

Pat then led us back to the Werribee start point via more back roads.

Thanks Pat and Brian plus all who came along.
