All sorts of things
Hopefully we’ll schedule the branch social night at Mulgrave soon. I believe it should be Wednesday, 17th June.
A plea from the ride coordinator – me.
· The ride calendar is still looking a bit vacant into June and beyond. I’d really love to hear from a couple more regular riders willing to lead a ride.
· Particularly at this time of year, I’d recommend shorter such as 80 km to cuppa break, another 80 km to lunch leaving a shorter ride home while the days are short.
· Maps etc, are fine for longer rides, but I’d recommend some routes in areas you know and where turns can be made safely. A “pre-ride” is always a good idea to confirm what does and doesn’t work safely.
· Chat with us – all committee members have led and coordinated rides over the years.
The Victorian Breakfast Club (a gathering of Ulysseans from all around Victoria) meeting will be held at Kilmore on Saturday 13th June at the Red Lion Hotel, Kilmore. The organisers really would appreciate a “heads up” in advance for catering reasons - both for the Friday night dinner and the Saturday morning gathering itself. Lots of interesting riding roads to use on the way to and from too.
Applications for 20 % refunds on our vehicle (yes motor bikes too) registrations (up to two vehicles per person) open on Monday via the “app” or website. I’ll leave it a few days, but links are here:
Have you started thinking about booking your Odyssey accommodation yet? It’s on the calendar. We’ll probably do a different route for the Friday ride up to Wangaratta.
Is your Ulysses membership current? I’ve been a member for well over 30 years now, still love it and it has given me so much. The annual fee is a bargain. Check your membership card for expiry date. If you receive no communications or email, it is probable that your details are not up to date at the National Administration Office.
Finally, congratulations and best wishes to the recently elected national committee.
Cheers
John Cook
