Neerim South via Officer Ride 26th April 2026

Another beautiful autumn day for Brian’s ride to Neerim South via Willow Grove and over a dozen of us joined him for the start at Officer.

Sam handled TEC duty with aplomb again

and it was good to see Graeme join us again on his DR650 again.

New participants were Dan on his CF Moto 450MT

and Jim (who heard about us via meeting someone at a BMW event.

Again, a great variety of people and bikes.

After a short stint of freeway beyond Pakenham, Brian

led us south and used a very interesting combination of roads to led us to Willow Grove.

I won’t describe the route, but it was great riding in great countryside.  We did have one very interesting moment somewhere around Drouin South when we ended up riding with another group and they put out a corner marked while we continued straight.  I stopped just beyond their corner marker and happily we all stayed in our own groups.  Could easily have been a hiccup with some new riders not familiar with the entire group.

We were made very welcome at Willow on Grove

for our coffee and snack break where we chatted among ourselves and riders in other groups.

Once refreshed we rode into the mountains

and through to Noojee before taking a (very bumpy) back road through to Neerim Junction and then explored more nice back roads

Farmland - Neerim East

through to our lunch stop at Neerim South.

After lunch several joined Brian to explore an unsealed route back towards Gembrook.  Many of us rode back through the mountains to Powelltown and beyond, while several returned via Jindivick.

Another great day’s riding – thanks to all who came along.
