Sunday 30th November 2025

Epping to Marysville.

9 of us showed up at BP Epping, in fairly mild conditions and a dodgy weather forecast – Mike, Gary C, Colin, Jack, Sam (thanks for being tail-end Charlie), Cevat, Nick, Pat, Peter (on his 2024 ‘new’ 1250 RS, the old RT is up for sale).

We turned left on Cooper St, to the relief of Colin who was sick of riding straight 15kms the other way through industrial zones. He got plenty of variety after we turned onto High St to be met by a road closure and detour. After waiting 5 mins we u-turned back to Cooper St, and the ride leader cunningly took the group through back streets in an attempt to get around the detour. This resulted in a tour of several residential streets before calling it quits and heading east to Plenty Rd, with local navigation help by Gary. We copped a…

Thanks for the ride Mike. I think we all enjoyed it in spite of the rain and wet roads. Colin and I were quite dry when we got to Blackburn but the heavens opened again and we were drenched by the time we got home.

Ps I think we need a ride to the new place at Strath Creek sometime soon so we can try the food properly for lunch.

Just 12 hours after sharing a little thought bubble, seven of us

(on a very interesting variety of bikes) enjoyed an impromptu “Twin Spurs” Ride today.

We gathered at Lilydale, Ian took on TEC duty and we rode off east and immediately left the highway and rode past vineyards,

farms and orchards before stopping at a bakery in Yarra Junction

Nice photos. beautiful conditions. disappointed to miss out.

Lilydale To Korrumburra, 23/11/2025.

Six of us, including Jack, Nick, Cevat, Rod and Ralph, believed the BOM and started from Lilydale. The BOM was right. The drizzle stopped. The roads dried out. Naturally the surface was damp going through Noogee State Forest. It was also clean so easy to get through. Once past there it was mostly dry except for the last few kilometres into Korrumburra. We managed to get there at a few minutes to 12 noon. Alf was there to greet us and we also had the opportunity to view his latest bike, a KTM 690 Duke. For those not knowing : The 690 is the most powerful single ( 70 bhp ) out there and will tough for sports bikes to beat on tight roads. It was smart buying for Alf. It may be a 2013 bike but had done very low Ks and looked like new. Skipping morning tea …

Pat's not quite Mansfield Ride 16th November 2025

Another “spring” day riding with Ulysses Club Melbourne Branch. Nine of us met at Lilydale for Pat’s ride to the north east and got tangled up with people attending the annual Lilydale and Yarra Valley Show.

Greg met us further on at Yea.

The weather was promising and we discussed the probability that it wouldn’t rain until that evening.   We set off and had a good run out along the Maroondah Hwy to Healesville and then climbed Chum Creek Road

to Toolangi to avoid the road works on the Melba Hwy.   As we approached Toolangi the road got decidedly wet and slippery looking and that was compounded with vegetation litter, so caution was exercised.
