We and many others rode up to join and and help them celebrate  many others made a whole weekend of it 

Ten of us gathered at Ardeer

and chatted for a bit before riding off towards Ballarat with Reece doing TEC duty. Gary (hope I got that right - let me know) joined us on his Spyder after a longish absence from Ulysses post retirement. Great to see people joining us again.

We did a simple run out the freeway to Leakes Road and then rode down to Eynesbury. Speed limits quite low along there now, but the view up to Melton Reservoir/ Weir is quite nice. The ride out to Glenmore is a bit bumpy in places but provides some nice views

Ten of us met up at Lilydale on Friday morning for the ride up to Wangaratta. We enjoyed some great weather and roads Ralph took on Tail End Charlie duties and handled it with aplomb.

We started with some back roads past vineyards through to Healesville and after that the ride over the Black Spur was very good.  Very little traffic, two drivers showed great road craft and used slow vehicle turnouts to let us pass safely and two didn’t but still got along at a reasonable clip.

Alexandra was quite busy for our “cuppa” break but provided lots of options. 

I was very happy with our lunch stop at Tatong – friendly greeting and service plus good value and very nice location.

ride today and he really does know some great combinations of roads in Central Gippsland.  Despite the absence of some regulars, BMW was still very well represented with both 1250 and 1300 versions of GS and RS models.  Ducati, Honda, KTM, Suzuki and Yamaha were also represented.  

The weather was great for riding after two very wet days.  Nick took on TEC duties. 

About a dozen of us met up at Epping to join Mike’s amended (café closures due to school holidays) ride to Yara Glen.  It was quite a cool start to the day however it stayed dry and sunny as forecast.

we had a couple of Yamahas, lots of “boxers” and I rode my Honda as usual.
