Epping to Woodend, 1 June 2025
(Report by John Cook)
The first day of winter turned out to be a “pearler” and we had a great turn out for Roger’s ride. We even had several from a different ride group join us at Epping. They were made welcome and told more about the Ulysses Club.
We had a bit of a transit section due west from Epping to start the ride and then Roger took us along some great roads with a variety of challenges and scenery. I do remember Wildwood on our ride through some more places where I was geographically challenged before we stopped I do remember Wildwood on our ride through some more places where I was geographically challenged before we stopped at Lancefield for a rest, cuppa and chat.
Then we rode west. Carlsruhe and Malmsbury featured along the way before we stopped at a busy Woodend for lunch and more of a chat.
Roger, thanks a great ride along some interesting roads and your research showed.
Samuel - thanks for another great job as Tail End Charlie.
