Six of us, ( Sam, Vaughan, Jack, Gary, Colin, Me ) 4 BMWs, a KTM and 1 Yamaha arrived for what started out as a very windy day. Departing Epping our route was Wallan, Wandong and Broadford for m/tea. As we went north the temperature dropped a little and so did the wind.

M/tea over we headed for Seymour via Tallarook and entering Seymour from that direction went through the main shopping area onto Avenal Rd and joined the old Hume Hwy to Longwood. At Longwood we crossed the Hume Freeway and rode the curves through to Yarck and lunch. This a an excellent way to come as you get almost no traffic and a variety of curves and terrain.

Coming home we had little choice but the Melba Hwy to Yea and then Break O Day Rd into Yarra Glen and Lilydale. A fine day with no incidents, little traffic, almost no need for the rear rider and good roads.
